The Olicana Historical Society, which is affiliated to the Yorkshire Archaeological Society, arranges an annual winter programme of lectures on a variety of subjects of both general and local historical interest. Meetings are held in All Saints Church House, Ilkley, starting at 7.30pm. In summer a programme of visits is arranged for members. Where possible these visits are linked to the winter lectures. The Society has a library of books and periodicals of local interest which can be borrowed by members. Members can also use the facilities of the Yorkshire Archaeological Society in Leeds. The annual subscription is £7.50. Non-members are welcome at the lectures. The cost for a non-member is £2 per lecture.
