Ben Rhydding Golf Club

Ben Rhydding Golf Club celebrated its 50 th anniversary in 1997, although the course was constructed between 1885/1895 for the Hydropathic Establishment. Some of the holes were designed by William {Anconeous} Dell, the well-known boatman and professional golfer who played in the 1954 British Open at the ripe old age of 74. The length of the course was increased in 1980, although it still remains a 9-hole course. The greens have been improved tremendously over the last few years thanks to our green keeper and his assistants. “Fore Golf Magazine” rated it as a top ten value for money 9-hole golf course in the country.

We have a limited number of copies of our Jubilee book “Ben Rhydding Golf Club - The First Fifty Years” on sale at the reasonable price of £10 each. To make sure of your copy please contact the secretary at the address below.

2005 brings a new year to look forward to; New Captain Ian Clark drives into office on Sunday 19 th December. The Officers and committee wish everyone good golf and good weather.
