There are a number of fine restaurants in Ilkley to suit almost every taste. Depending on the occasion and mood, you can choose to dine at Hotels, Pubs and Clubs, Restaurants, Cafes, Fish & Chips, or order Take-Aways. As you will find on the following list, the cuisine that can be found here are quite diverse: from traditional style tea room sandwiches to French and award winning haute cuisine, Italian pizzas and pasta, authentic Indian, and even Chinese.
Bar T'at on the edge of the main car park. Many real ales and good meals.
Cow and Calf Hotel (607335) at the top of Cowpasture Road. The Panorama Restaurant has views of the Cow and Calf Rocks and the hotel's award winning gardens. Lunches are from 12 till 2pm and, in the evening, a three course table d'hôte dinner is served between 7:15pm and 9pm. There is also an a la carte menu from 7pm. Bar snacks and coffee also available.
Craiglands Hotel (430001) on Cowpasture Road, opposite the Grammar School, offers a fine dining experience, with a traditional setting along roaring fires. We also offer bar snacks throughout the day, as well as a selection of fresh coffees, making us the perfect venue for small business meetings.
Crescent Hotel (600012) Open 9am for morning coffee, Brasserie open 12 noon to 7pm and NEW Restaurant open from 6pm to 9.30pm Mon to Sat.

Mallard (601881) on Church Street -one of the oldest buildings in Ilkley. Recently refurbished, including the installation of period furniture and chattels more in keeping with the age and style of the pub, and an updating of the kitchen facilities. Food is being re-introduced in a big way. For example a full roast meat carvery will be served at least four days a week, as well as a comprehensive lunchtime and evening menu. The range of drinks offered are being increased to include more traditional ales as well as unusual lagers a good range of wines and spirits, and freshly brewed coffee. Upstairs will be set out for a comfortable chill-out area and restaurant during the week, and a venue for music and dance aimed at the older age group. [Updated 18/09/05]

Ilkley Riverside Hotel (Telephone/Fax: 01943 607338) Our Hotel is located on Bridge Lane next to the park and River Wharfe. In a beautiful relaxed riverside setting we serve morning coffee, lunches, evening dinners. We also host award winning CAMRA Real ales. Rombalds Hotel (603210) is on Wells Road. This elegant hotel serves morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and, on Sundays, an Edwardian brunch. A fixed price lunch is offered at 9.95 pounds.
Rose and Crown Hotel on Church Street, traditional pub serving bar lunches from 12 til 2pm. Includes carvery, fish menu and sandwiches. Lunches are popular with the elderly. Youth takes over in the evening with live music on Thursdays.
The Dalesway Hotel, formerly The Star (605438) The Dalesway offers an extensive traditional pub food menu, with Yorkshire size portions ! Very popular, reasonably priced, eatery, frequented by the many walkers and tourist who visit the town throughout the year. Very much a favourite Sunday Lunch venue with the locals. Food is served 12pm to 2.30pm and 5pm to 7pm midweek, and 12noon to 5pm weekends. [Updated 18/09/05]
Station Hotel (600865) Traditional pub with bar meals at lunch time, 11am to 2pm. Includes specials and home cooking.
Wells Club (817904) has taken over the former British Legion Club and has a comfortable bar and a hall where dance classes are held.
Wheatley Hotel is currently closed, but the residents want it back. See their website.
Barlows restaurant and tea rooms (817870) at 28 Brook Street. Gareth and Sarah Barlow provide home-made food. Smoke-free area.
Bettys Cafe (608029) on the Grove. Founded in 1919 in Harrogate by the Swiss confectioner Frederick Belmont. Licensed restaurant serves breakfast, morning coffee, snacks, lunches, afternoon and high teas, and evening meals. While you eat, you can view the biggest marquetry picture in Yorkshire.
Box Tree restaurant (608484) on Church Street, recognised nationally for its award winning haute cuisine and finest wine cellars, serves lunches (12 till 2:30pm) and dinners (7pm-10pm). All dishes are a la carte, with two course meals available from £19.50

Farsyde (602030) 38A Back of the Grove. Cafe/restaurant, open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am till midnight. Sunday, 12 to 9:30pm, when there is a live jazz bank and a brunch menu.
La Sila (601908) on Grove Promenade, by the central car park, an Italian restaurant and pizzeria with authentic cuisine and fine wines. Italian atmosphere. Open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner (12 till 2pm and 6pm-11pm).
Monkmans Cookhouse - No longer there (They do have a place in Pool-in-Wharfedale, though)
Pizza Margherita (816810) on the Station Plaza. Serves pizza, pasta and salads all day from 10:30am to 1:30pm, later on Fridays and Saturdays. Italian atmosphere.
Po Sang (602204) on Wells Road. Chinese restaurant serving lunch (Fridays and Saturdays) and evening dinner with take away menu. Open every day from 5:30pm to 11:30pm. Open for lunches (12 till 2pm) Friday and Saturdays.
Prince of Bengal restaurant (607241) at 10 Church Street. Bangladeshi cuisine, open 7 days per week. Take-away service available.
Sabera (607104) on Wells Road is a licensed Indian restaurant serving lunch and dinner. Has a Good Food Guide award.
The Wells Cafe/Bistro (601793) on Wells Road serving light snacks and new modern English food lunchtimes (and evenings Fri and Sat only). Monday closed; Tue, Wed Thu 11am-3pm; Fri 11am-3pm then 6.30pm - 8.45pm; Sat 10am- 3pm then 6.30 - 8.45pm sun 10am-3pm.
Willy Mossops (01943 605554) 52 The Grove, Ilkley, LS29 9PA. Open lunchtimes Tuesday to Saturday 12.00 until 2.30pm. Evenings Monday to Saturday 6.00 until10.0pm. Christchurch Coffee Centre on the Grove serves coffee and snacks. Open Monday to Friday from 10am till 4pm, Saturdays 10am till 12. Home made fayre and a popular meeting place.
Clark-Foley Centre, Cunliffe Road (opposite the main car park) is a centre specifically for the over 50's. It is open from 10.00 to 16.00 and provides refreshments and light lunches.
Oakleys (816885) in the Moors Centre is a brasserie (high class coffee house) and serves morning coffee, lunches, snacks and afternoon teas. Open daily 9am-5pm.
Oasis, All Saints Church Cafe on Church Street serves coffee, lunches, afternoon teas. Somewhere for a chat and company. Home made food, reasonably priced. Open Wednesday and Friday 9:30am -3pm.

Palm Court Tea and Coffee House (602472) in the Arcade, off Church Street, serves morning coffee, light lunches, afternoon teas and cream teas; wines.
Yorkshire Deli Cafe (817387) near the central car park. Cafe selling home-made hot meals, soups, cakes, scones, sandwiches, toasties, paninis, coffees, cream teas and breakfasts. The Lemon Tree (601603) at 5 Leeds Road. Cantonese-style Chinese food with a wide range of dishes. Open six night a week from 5:30pm; closed Tuesdays.
The Lunch Box (816032) on Brook Street. Open at lunchtime for sandwiches and baked potatoes.
The Shalimar (816243), New Brook Street, Asian take-away. Open from 5pm to midnight, Tuesday to Sunday.
Sandwiches: Many of the bakers have freshly made sandwiches on sale at lunch time.
